Gift Card Rescue is no longer in business.

  2. Alana says:

When price matching at kohls the policy states that we will match the competitors price OR apply the active coupon. Not both.

  3. Brian says:

Use your “Verizon smart rewards” or your “citi extra cash” to get 10% off gift cards. That’s savings you won’t see on the receipt.

  4. Claudia says:

They also give you a 10 day grace period on Kohl’s cash!

  5. Tammy says:

I am interested in the 30% off one time a month. I have a kohls charge card and I never get anything to get 30% off one time a month- how does this work?

    1. Passion For Savings says:

I would contact Kohl’s Customer Service – it’s up to 30% off so it depends on your account but they could check the address and information on file to make sure you are receiving all your offers or ask at the customer service desk.

  6. RKaye says:

One suggestion for using the Kohls credit card. You can make a credit card payment at the register. So If you use the card in store, to take advantage of the discounts, you can pay it off in the very next transaction. This is great for those of us using a cash budget system.

  7. Doris says:

The stores in my area do not allow coupon stacking any more.

  8. lorene says:

They will no longer accept expired Kohls cash at the Kohls where I shop. In the past if it had only been expired for a week or so then they would honor it, but I asked the cashier if he would take it last time I shopped there and he would not. He was not nice about it at all. In fact the customer service at Kohls has greatly declined at my store over the past few months. At the end of my transaction the sales clerk gave my my receipt without the part that says fill out the survey. I emailed the company about my customer service experience and never received a reply. Needless to say I no longer shop at Kohls, but I suggest if you have Kohls cash be sure to use it before it expires because they do not have to honor it if it is expired and as I found out they will not take it at my local Kohls.

  9. deanna says:

Kohl’s will meet prices from other stores but that is all. They will not honor any percentage off coupons. That is corporate policy. No exceptions I know this because I have been a POS for nine years at kohls and this is enforced!!

  10. M Flanders says:

On item #2….you can sign up in store at register as well for the rewards card and get handed one…you have to then go online and create a user name/password to log in and see all of your rewards activity…any rewards earned get emailed to you 1× a month at the beginning of a month and are only good for 30 days and then expire…again I know first hand from in customer service.

  11. M Flanders says:

The receipt shows sale price of each item rung up and then below the subtotal deducts %’s off, $’s off total purchase (ex kohls cash) then totals your purchase…many think the item with the price listed is what they get refunded when the receipt price listed isn’t after %’s and coupons. That’s why and if your return brings your ORIGINAL purchase below 48.50$ you lose any Kohls cash and if you spent earned Kohls cash they take that back from the refund amount if again the return lowered the original purchase below 48.50$ then you didn’t earn any.

  12. Margee Dyck says:

Got to tell you an experience I had a Kohl’s. My husband had been wanting to buy me a wedding ring since mine lost the diamond and the gold had worn down to nothing in the back. I saw one I liked at Kohl’s but it was $1350– Not a chance, I told him. But then he pointed out that it was 65% off on Valentine’s week and I had a 30% card. So that brought it way down. I also had a $10 bottom line and a $10 Kohl’s birthday gift card to subtract so that brought it down again. Then they had the $10 back on every $50 spent so I got back $60 there. With that my husband bought some much needed clothes. So my ring cost about $240!!!!!

  13. Whitney says:

Gotta disagree with #4. I’ve been told repeatedly (hey, it never hurts to ask again, right?) that online only discounts are honored online ONLY – NOT in the store. Perhaps that’s my in our area, but that #4 is not true for my area.

    1. hmorris says:

As a former customer service rep at kohl’s there are online exclusive coupons. Those are only for online purchase. That said kohl’s prides itself on making the customer experience as easy as possible and sometimes exceptions will be made. So it never hurts to ask!

  14. Vanessa B says:

I would also add that if you shop multiple times within the same Kohl’s cash earning period but each ticket total wasn’t enough to trigger a Kohl’s cash, you can go to customer service with your 2 reciepts that they will then scan and print you out a Kohl’s Cash if their combined totals meet the minimum.

    1. michelle says:

You can also combine at the register.

    2. Alana says:

However policy states that they must be from the same or next day. It does not apply to the entire Kohls cash period.

  15. Gayle says:

Log on to their internet server on your phone in store for more money off.

  16. K says:

kohls will price match but you can’t use a coupon on that item

  17. Kariann radatz says:

Kohl’s is not going to be accepting expired Kohl’s Cash months late as they have in the past starting June 1st 2015. Contact your local store if you have any questions.

  18. monica says:

Starting June 1, 2015 NO EXPIRED COUPONS WILL BE ACCEPTED at ANY kohls store. Kohls no longer price matches either. I WORK THERE SO I KNOW!!!

  19. Christy says:

Download the Honey app and it will apply all available discounts for you without having to search for them on sites like Retail Me Not (which I also love). I wish that Shop Kick had Kohl’s deals. It would be great to use to find deals in store and receive bonus kicks.

  20. I love the tip about Price Matching. I didn’t realize Kohls did that.

As some others have mentioned Kohls Cash doesn’t expire. A while back the policy changed for a bit, but after 2015 started the stores started accepting it again. They just don’t want you hoarding it and coming in with 100s in expired cash,

I did it with $10 after Christmas and the cashier made sure to let me know that if I returned the item, I wouldn’t get any credit for the Kohls Cash. That didn’t concern me though because I knew I wouldn’t be returning the item.

    1. michelle says:

I work at a Kohls. Kohls cash has an expiration date and always has. We aleays tell customers to use the kohsls cash within the promotion period as we can not guarantee it would be valid past that. We would scan it and if it gave an amount we would do it as a courtesy. But as mentioned if you returned when that was done you were out that money. Its the same with any coupon, if its past expiration date you cant count on it being accepted.

  21. Jennifer says:

Actually, I have used Kohl’s Cash months later. They told me they would always accept it in store, just not online.

As for price matches, we only price match with a printed ad and no other discounts will apply.

    2. M Flanders says:

Online never has accepted expired Kohls cash and it has always had and expiration date….stores have AS A COURTESY accepted expired Kohls cash but NO MORE as of June 1,2015 NO expired Kohls cash, mail coupons, percents off and expired email coupons are never accepted especially via your technology device.

  22. Barbara Craig says:

One caution about using Kohl’s cash. If you need to return any item in a purchase made with Kohl’s cash, they will deduct the Kohl’s cash amount from the item before issuing a refund, not just prorate the purchase as they do with coupons. So if you try to return a $9 shirt, you’ll get nothing back for it. And exchanges can be tricky too, unless you’re exchanging it for an item of exactly the same price. I’ve realized I need to be careful not to buy gifts with Kohl’s cash, so as not to put the recipient in the position of trying to return or exchange the item only to find out they either can’t exchange or will only get a small amount back to use on another item. Otherwise, stacked Kohl’s deals are great!

    1. michelle says:

I work at a Kohls. If you purchase with Kohls cash and then return that item you will get merchandise credit (as long as the Kohls cash was redeemed with the valid dates). If you buy items and earn Kohls cash on that purchase then return an item you will lose the Kohls cash and if you already spent it then they will take the money off of the return. There is no prorating because you need to spend $50 to earn it if you return something then you didnt spend $50 therefore you didnt earn the kohls cash.

  23. Tammy says:

if you log onto their Wi-Fi when you walk in the store, it always offers you coupons there

  24. J'net says:

The last time I was in Kohl’s, the customer in front of me was a 1st time shopper, so the clerk was giving her some tips. The shopper had received Kohl’s cash & the clerk told her the expiration date, but told her they would accept it after that date. When I got to the register, I asked her about this & she told me yes, they would take it a while after the date….she didn’t give me the exact deadline. I haven’t tried this myself yet, but I will be trying it before I just throw it away like I have in the past if I couldn’t use it in time.

    1. sharon says:

I used my Kohls cash about 2 weeks later, when I had a 30 percent off coupon. I was told with in a month.

    2. Lissa Jons says:

My Kohl’s will take any expired Kohl’s cash. I’ved used Kohl’s cash six months after it expired, that I got in a different state even. Not sure if all of them do, I was told it is because we are a smaller town with a lot of rural customers that can not make it back to the store before the Kohl’s cash expires.

  25. Victoria White says:

When I return an item I purchased with my kohl’s charge , why do I not the full price refunded ?

    1. Passion For Savings says:

You should get the price you paid for it less any Kohls Cash earned I believe. The advantage to using your Kohls Card is they can see what you paid for an item it should be the same amount you would get if you had your receipt. If you have had other issues you might try contacting Kohls Customer Service Directly.

    2. michelle says:

When returning you get the price minus any discounts returned to you. On the receipt itself it may say you bought a shirt for $14.99 then at the bottom it says you had a 20% friends and family coupon. So when you return the system will show shirt $14.99 minus discount of whatever the $ amount of the discount was. You didn’t pay $14.99 do you can’t get back $14.99. If Kohls cash was earned on that purchase and already spent and this return would drop you below $50 Mark then $10 would also come off for that because you became ineligible for Kohls cash. If you had used expired Kohls cash or $10 off special coupons then those would come off as a $ff amount as well as the % (this usually prorates but depends if it was a $10 off purchase of certain department and that was the only item that coupon was eligible for). If you pay with Kohls cash or rewards certificates then you get merchandise credit back.

    3. M Flanders says:

      1. M Flanders says:

It doesn’t make a difference what form of payment you use…in customer service..I know first hand
